TOTAL GUESTS

We set sail from Tromsø, latitude 69N, known as the "Gateway to the Arctic". Many guests will opt for arriving a couple of days ahead of the departure to enjoy the many features of this vibrant city, where the Arctic wilderness meets urban charm. Surrounded by majestic mountains and fjords, Tromsø is also a pragmatic starting point for our passage, as it offers a well connected international airport and a good selection of stores and technical support to refurbish our boat.

We are likely to experience the magic of the Northern Lights as we set sail above the Arctic Circle.

The daily sailing distances, subject to weather conditions, will range from 65 to 120 nautical miles. We will discuss with the participants if they wish to add longer legs, night shifts and venture further offshore or prefer more coastal routing to disembarking to visit.

We will head south, towards the heart of the Lofoten archipelago to explore its dramatic landscapes of mountain peaks, crystal-clear waters, and picturesque fishing villages. During our season, we first pass the Lofoten in the winter as we sail north towards the Lyngen Alps fpr our ski & sail season in March-April , but we love to rediscover the region under the warmth of the late summer, yet still removed from the peak cruising season, with countless anchorages to enjoy solo.

Continuing our journey, we will discover the regions, port towns and fishing villages nestled along the rugged coastline of central Norway including Bodø,  Rørvik and Ålesund.

The destination port of Bergen is a historic city nestled between seven mountains and the gateway to the Norwegian fjords. In addition to its many points of interest it is a convenient point to disembark, with the airport less than 20 minute away from our main ports of entry.
