THE BOAT
INTREPIDO
INTREPIDO (formerly LifeSong) is built by the Garcia shipyard, specialized in exploration sailing yachts. She is a one off, 21 meter (69 feet) length sloop configuration with reinforced aluminum hull and an array of features for unlimited range passages, especially equipped for our high latitude activities in cold waters, from Spitzberg and Greenland to the Antarctica. Her passenger cabins have been configured from the onset for chartering, being highly comfortable and spacious, yet remaining a truly fast sailboat thanks to her aluminium hull (highly resistant and yet lighter than fiber) and 3.05m keel, allowing us to reach and explore the most remote areas without the need of harbours and far from inhabited areas. We can’t stop enjoying the sensations provided by her effortless speed and neutral behavior, easily cruising at double digit speeds.

Aluminum construction – with 10mm thickness hull – and the highest standard deck fittings, rig and sails allow us to venture in the most remote areas. Maintained to highest safety standards: Maintained & equipped above World Sailing (formerly ISAF) Offshore Special Regulations (OSR) Category 1 standards. Additionally, INTREPIDO has been upgraded to / certified as merchant vessel for unrestricted waters, the highest standard to carry passengers. COMFORT
Guest number limited to 6, guaranteeing comfort, personalized attention from the crew, easy walk through around the spacious saloon and unencumbered use of amenities. A reduced group allows flexibility and smoothness during embarking and disembarking, maximizing time spent onshore. Bespoke wooden interiors, warm and welcoming, with four double-berth cabins, each with en-suite heads and showers. Individual heating, lightning and power supply. First mate and chef will spoil you with a full breakfast, après-ski snacks and 3-course dinner using local specialties coupled with carefully matched wines. The inner hull is thermally isolated and portholes are double-glass offering excellent shielding against humidity and external temperatures, and reducing energy consumption. A new, powerful yet efficient heating systems ensure stable interior temperatures with individual cabin controls as well as heated air to dry clothing and gear in dedicated lockers.
Small groups
We sail in small groups, limited to 6 guests. comfort, personalized attention from the crew, easy walk through and unencumbered use of amenities. A small group ensures flexibility in the choice of landing spots and smoothness during embarking / disembarking, maximizing time spent exploring onshore. For private groups, we can increase the number of guests to 9.

Onboard desalinizator system feeding 1‘000L water tanks, making hot water available in your individual showers. Additional large freeze-storage systems for food, extending range to the remotest areas without access to food supply chain.

AUTONOMOUS AND ENERGY EFFICIENT
Aluminium hull, cutter setup with 26m mast, large sail area and 3m draught keel, we set sail under the lightest breeze. When necessary, our range under engine alone exceeds 1‘500 nautical miles.
We are highly autonomous, producing our own potable water from the sea through a 150L/h water-maker feeding 1'000L water tanks. We have smartened utility systems and electronics onboard for low energy consumption. To back it all up, in case of extra needs we are equipped with a 10Kw/h generator.
SMART SOLUTIONS FOR SKIING AND HIKING
The boat is thoughtfully adapted to host and embark-disembark skiers, hikers and their gear, making the entire operation smooth and safe. We carry 2 kayaks to explore the anchorages and be even closer to the surrounding wild life and nature.
The transom with a loading platform seats low on the water, allowing for effortless and dry boarding and disembarking onto and from the dinghy, especially when carrying your gear.
Your boots and clothing will be stored in dedicated heated and ventilated lockers to make sure you will find your gear properly dry for the next session.
